A colleague and fellow bride2be sent me BuzzFeed’s roaring ’20s-inspired wedding roundup in honor of the upcoming Great Gatsby film, and I’m sorta obsessed. While I’m generally against themes for weddings beyond an overarching style (modern, rustic, effortless elegance) and color palette, I think Gatsby may be the one exception. Gatsby/roaring ’20s is the one exception. It’s the perfect mix of glamour, romance, preppy, and outdoor elegance. The fact that Taylor Tomassi Hill’s nuptials nodded to the Gatsby-esque ’20s with magazine-worthy results, along with some of the inspiration sourced by BuzzFeed, makes me sorta want to ditch the whole mountain thing and go Gatsby. Hmmm… maybe for the engagement party?
