I don’t want to call it too soon, but Proenza Schouler’s Fall 2013 collection might be my fave of all the shows — it’s definitely a frontrunner. It felt so modern and clean and yet everything felt timeless too but with the right amount of edge, personality and fashion-forward feel. While the entire collection felt cohesive enough to have a point of view and identity (no confusion a la the Oscar de la Renta – John Galliano debate), there was plenty of variety to keep the runway dynamic (like ombré feathered skirts, structured, sweatshirts dye-cut detailing and even chain metal (!?!?)) — and make me want to own the entire collection.
