Jessica Chastain, aka the next Meryl Streep, is one of my faves these days. Beyond her style — which is ahhh-mazing (!), she’s a real (read: not cookie-cutter) beauty and a talented actress. But back to her style…the girl has just about the best coat collection I’ve seen and she’s had plenty of opportunities to showcase it in cold New York City this winter. I love how she invests in luxe-looking coats, killer shoes and statement bags (but not in the “hello, I’m an ‘it’ bag” sense), and no matter what’s underneath (though I suspect it’s pretty friggin’ amazing), she looks incredibly polished and chic.
I want all of it: The military-inspired coat, the mod booties, the sunglasses and the emerald bag!
So simple, so stylish. Luxe extras make all the difference.
Crisp winter white = instant style
Brocade and textured booties
Classic military coat, not-so-basic black pieces
Stripes in winter? Yes, please! Those boots make it a home run.
Pop of pink and my favorite patent boots again — plus, a new structured satchel in a size I can get behind
Casual yet cool shoes and an equally stylish bag are game-changers
Dynamic neutrals — and I never thought I’d be using those words together…
One of my favorites. Love a short-sleeve jacket, especially with killer heels, Jackie O shades, a ladylike bag and a pop of hot pink.
Cozy winter-wear looks incredibly rich and sophisticated when done luxe fabrics — and I’m such a fan of a really nice camel coat. I’m looking for a cashmere one to invest in now that the season is nearly over and I can hopefully find a great deal.
Love olive on redheads but it’s really all about the boots here…
Cool aviators, cool boots (again), chunky scarf — love the “I didn’t even try and I still look awesome” thing she’s got going on here.
You know how I feel about black and white…
Emerald is such an unexpected upgrade to the peacoat.
Pop of purple combined with standout (but not overtop extras) — retro shades, a gold cuff and those shoes — make for one killer transitional outfit. In other words, hello my new spring outfit!
Reworking the military coat with sky-high Loubs and red lips and suddenly it has a totally different feel.
